Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer

Objective:

The successful candidate will work with an energetic and collaborative team at Sundyne's office located in Pune, India. The Supplier Quality engineer must be a motivated and organized person who is responsible to ensure all receiving quality activities at factory stores & carry out inspections at suppliers place as per Sundyne requirements. A competent Supplier Quality engineer will have a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic lubrication and piping systems in API pumps & compressors. He will be well-versed in all QMS, EMS and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting, process, and system improvement etc.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities of the Supplier Quality engineer include, but are not limited to:

• Carry out inspections at vendor site of all incoming commodity parts at factory & improve supplier quality.
• Monitor MIS of Supplier Quality (Supplier Rejection ppm, Quality rating, Customer complaints etc.) and drive continuous improvements.
• Work with CFTs & departments like SCM, Engineering, machine shop, assembly and testing for CAPA.
• Initiate, follow up, & monitor Supplier for the CAPA regarding the non-conformances found during inspection, audit, testing & field complaints.
• Carry out the Supplier audits of existing Suppliers on ongoing basis as per the Quarterly / yearly audit plans and supplier audits of new Suppliers.
• Review the corrective actions given by the suppliers and give the feedback to the Suppliers & monitor the effectiveness of actions periodically.
• Arrange for the Quality review meeting with the poor performing suppliers after evaluating the supplier performance.
• Ensure timely completion of Receiving and Supplier end inspection as per PO /ITP requirements.
• Quality improvement of internal/ external supplier through various tools like process study, 7 QC tools, Kaizen, Poke-Yoke etc. Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
• Should be able to do product testing of pumps & compressors.
• Supplier Quality MIS monthly reporting.

Skills & Abilities:

• Proven experience as Supplier Quality engineer role.
• Good understanding of technical aspects of mechanical, Electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, piping systems of API Pumps & Compressors.
• Hands on experience of GD&T, measuring techniques & equipments, Supplier Audit, and supplier improvement, SQC, Kaizen, 5S. Problem solving thru 8D, Why-Why analysis, CAPA.
• Knowledge of sand and investment casing process, national & international material standards, heat treatment processes, manufacturing processes, surface coating / plating processes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of ISO systems i.e. QMS, EMS & OHSAS

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in related field: Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in a similar industry.
• NDT level II DP, MP,UT,RT & VT
