Job Description

The HR Manager at an SAM Group of Educational Institutions is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role supports the schools mission by recruiting and retaining high-quality staff, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. The HR Manager works closely with the administration and staff to implement policies and procedures that align with the school’s values and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Develop and implement strategies for talent acquisition, ensuring alignment with the school’s educational philosophy and culture.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, and preparing offer letters.
  • Coordinate onboarding programs for new hires to ensure seamless integration into the school community.

Employee Relations

  • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and resolving workplace conflicts effectively and professionally.
  • Promote an inclusive culture, ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion in all HR practices.
  • Organize regular team-building and professional development activities.

Compliance and Policies

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, education regulations, and school policies.
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures in alignment with school objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records for employee documentation, including contracts, attendance, and appraisals.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Review and recommend salary adjustments, bonuses, and other incentives.

Performance Management

  • Implement and oversee performance evaluation systems for academic and non-academic staff.
  • Support managers in identifying and addressing performance issues.
  • Provide coaching and development plans for staff as needed.

Training and Development

  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development workshops.
  • Support staff in obtaining relevant certifications or attending industry events.
  • Create mentorship programs for faculty and administrative staff.

HR Administration

  • Manage HR budgets, including recruitment and training costs.
  • Oversee the maintenance of employee databases and HR software.
  • Generate regular HR reports for the school administration.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in an educational or international environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
    • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
