About the Role :

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Database Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute significantly to the continued growth and success of Sportz Interactive.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance database solutions that support our cutting-edge sports technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate closely with front-end developers to gather and understand their database requirements.

- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, cursors, indexes, transactions, functions, and triggers.

- Perform thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality and efficient database development.

- Handle the demands of high-traffic application servers, ensuring reliable and scalable database operations.

- Oversee daily project activities and guide team members, ensuring smooth and effective task execution.

- Proactively communicate with clients to address their needs and ensure their satisfaction.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.

- 6-9 years of proven experience as a PostgreSQL Database Developer or a similar role.

- Strong expertise in database design, development, and performance tuning in PostgreSQL.

- Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL.

- In-depth knowledge of database indexing, partitioning, and query optimization techniques.

- Experience with data modeling tools (e., ER/Studio, DbSchema).

- Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.

- Knowledge of other database systems (e., MSSQL, Oracle) is a plus.
