About the role :

The Data & Video Tech. business unit at Sportz Interactive provides data products such as Live Scores and Statistics, Deep-data Analytics, Fantasy Research Tools, and data-integrated video products such as Video/Meta Tagging, Automated Video Highlights and Video graphics.

We are seeking a senior ML Engineer to facilitate a growing number of Computer Vision deployments as well as general AI-domain R&D.

You will be expected to develop (or assist in developing) full stack solutions that integrate AI-based modules into various company products.

You will be responsible for coordinating and collaborating with a team of ML Engineers, providing technical expertise and helping foster an ideal learning space for the team (yourself included).

Key Responsibilities :

- General R&D : Researching white papers for updated models/approaches and developing PoCs to explore new technologies

- General Automation : Leveraging as much automation as reasonable, from Zero-Shot Annotations to AutoCurating csv Analyses, across all deployments

- Model Train/Test : Conducting (or assisting with) Train/Test iterations for various ML/DL models as required

- Cloud Deployments : Conceptualizing and setting up MLOps/Pipelines for both Training as well as Inference use-cases

- Mentoring : As a senior member, ensuring the team is chasing productive & feasible targets and upskilling in the right directions

Background and Experience :

- Lead the development and maintenance of complex CV modules using pytorch and opencv, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, guiding them in best practices and architectural decisions.

- Utilize python extensively to architect and implement robust ML solutions, leveraging 5+ years of experience in python development.

- Proficiency in pytorch & tensorflow is highly desired.

- Proficient with Cloud Technology (Preferably AWS), Docker, Container, Akamai, Cloud Formation, Redis Cache, CI/CD Pipeline.

- Proficient with Project Management tools like JIRA and Agile methodology.

- Evaluate and integrate other python libraries and frameworks as needed to optimize application functionality and user experience.

- Design and implement various types of middleware and interfaces using advanced techniques with FastAPI, gradio, and other modern technologies.

- Collaborate closely with backend developers to design and implement API endpoints, ensuring efficient data exchange and system integration.

- Utilize training best practices like confusion matrices, train/test/eval splits, data enhancement and periodic updates to enrich model quality & longevity.

- Demonstrate expertise in working with data structures such as XML and JSON, implementing efficient data manipulation and storage solutions.

- Leverage advanced knowledge of quantization frameworks like TensorRT or ONNX to optimize models for low performance platforms.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including designers, product managers, and senior management, to gather requirements and provide project updates.

- Proactively identify technical challenges and propose innovative solutions to address them, leveraging strong problem-solving skills and industry best practices.
