Job Description

The role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, including media planning, tentpole creative development, digital marketing initiatives, and on-ground activations. This will be done through close collaboration with channel teams, distribution sales, external agencies, and cross-functional teams. The position will leverage insights and marketing analytics to provide robust marketing support and drive the execution of SPNI network marketing campaigns, with the ultimate goal of strengthening brand identity and reputation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Execute Marketing Strategies : Develop and implement marketing activities across media, digital platforms, and on-ground activations.
  • Media Planning & Campaign Management : Plan and execute DPO marketing and media campaigns in line with business objectives, ensuring alignment with target audiences and brand positioning.
  • Creative Development : Lead the creation and adaptation of tentpole marketing assets, maintain brand guidelines and campaign creatives to drive brand engagement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with channel teams, distribution sales, external agencies, and other internal stakeholders to execute marketing plans effectively.
  • Data-driven Decision Making : Leverage marketing insights, analytics, and consumer data to optimize campaign performance and improve brand visibility.
  • Campaign Execution On Social Media, Website updates & SPN A.C.E Updates : Ensure seamless execution of SPNI network campaigns, ensuring
alignment with the overall brand strategy and maximizing impact.
POSITION SPECIFICATION
Education
Graduation with PG or Diploma with specialization in Digital Marketing / Marketing/Advertising
Experience
Min 10+ 7 8 years of experience in a marketing role Digital Marketing/ Media Planning/ Marketing operations

Task
KEY ACTIVITIES
1
Plan, execute, monitor and evaluate DPO Marketing activities
  • Basis the annual marketing calendar create the monthly marketing calendar with detailed action plan
  • Create the media plan for the assigned DPO marketing budgets
  • Basis the plan, brief the channel marketing and creative team for promos, bugs, statics, Astons, EPG etc.
  • Continuously monitor the DPO spends allocated and maintain the monthly reports and tracker to be shared with finance and other relevant stakeholders

Liaison with the Channel Teams and regional sales teams
  • Weekly fortnightly meetings with channel teams to align trade activation & support for all new show/ channel launches, collaborative activities & special events
  • Collaborate with Channel teams for creation of customized promotions, for key DTH, MSOs like TATA Sky, Hathway, Airtel, Den, GTPL etc.
  • Support Channel teams to promote their tentpole properties and content high points in their key rating markets
  • Value-adds for paid campaigns by channel teams, with DPOs
  • Ensure legal (rate & marketing agreements) and commercial compliance for all of the above

BTL Marketing and Events for Key Stakeholders
  • Liaison with Key Regional Sales Teams and DTH & MSO partners for best deals and value adds for paid inventories
  • Endorsements & promotions for shows by the tele stars on eve of occasions like Diwali, anniversaries etc. for Tata Sky, Airtel, Sun Direct, Videocon, Hathway & more
  • Study the need gap highlighted by the channel & the distribution insights teams & Map it with the distribution objectives & then Initiate conversations & opportunities for continuous collaboration for on ground events/ activations etc. with MSOs & DTH basis gaps in the network w.r.t to awareness & reach.
  • Initiate & design content for call center trainings

Travel for On-ground connect programs, LCO visits, drive A.C.E downloads and ongoing tactical campaigns
  • Travel and Liaison with the sales team for planning & execution of Local events, LCO meets, Office branding refresh, reactivation drives, subscription drives, channel led BTL, local events
  • Ensure continuous on ground connect via regular visits to regional offices and key affiliates

Agency, Vendor Eco-System Management & Marketing Cloud Updates
  • POC for Channel creatives and manage the creative repository
  • Marketing POC for internal & external stakeholders
  • Maintain all the latest channel logos, creative assets and tentpole creatives on the Distribution Marketing Cloud
  • SPN A.C.E. campaigns
