Tech Lead - Quality Assurance, Digital Business

The incumbent will create and lead the quality engineering and automation framework for the SonyLIV platforms analytics product.

Position Title - Lead QA Engineer

Education - B.E./B.Tech in Computer science

Other Job Requirements - Working knowledge on OTT based Analytics applications

Key Responsibilities -

Quality Engineering -

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for data analytics products, covering all aspects of data collection, processing, analysis, and reporting.
• Deeply understand the intricacies of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing to effectively test data quality and integrity.
• Experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on data analytics testing.
• Experience on end-2-end integration validation of analytics systems with the eco-system (includes Front end applications, API, GA and Ads systems)
• Automate API/UI/Unit tests and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
• Experience of google analytics tools and services is desirable
• Work experience in OTT application is desirable

Process Automation -

• Design and implement robust automation frameworks for both front-end and back-end systems using industry-standard open-source tools (eg, Selenium, Appium, Pytest, etc)
• Android Studio, Xcode, Eclipse, Appium, Charles, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Firebase Crash Analytics.
• Solid work experience in testing and automating the OTT based applications.

• Design and implement quality process and quality metrics for the applications across platforms
• Good understanding of processes and methodologies with ability to adapt and improvise in various situations.

Knowledge Management -

• Responsible for developing automation dashboards and reports to quality engineering
• Should be able to perform timely evaluation of new technologies and methodologies

Technical:

• Proven experience in writing comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for complex data-driven applications.
• Develop and execute robust automation frameworks for OTT-based analytics applications that cover all data collection, processing, analysis, and reporting aspects.
• Good knowledge on Ads systems like GAM, Pubmatic or similar service
• Good knowledge on native and web platform apps with integration level automation
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or any other programming language to lead the efforts on backend and frontend automation tasks.

• Design test plans to simulate high user concurrency and monitor key performance metrics.
• Automate API/UI/Unit tests and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
• Android Studio, Xcode, Eclipse, Appium, Charles, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Firebase Crash Analytics.

• Solid work experience in testing and automating OTT-based applications.
• Through understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (eg Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and Exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs.

• A better understanding of Linux, Android and Cloud platforms (AWS ) and CDNs is preferred.

• Should have excellent programming/coding and logical skills.
