Engineering Manager - Web/mWeb, Digital Business

We are seeking a Engineer Manager for web and mobile web technologies platform who would ordinarily work with a team of web engineers developing solutions. He or she will frequently collaborate with an enterprise architect for strategic guidance and must possess a well-balanced blend of technical and business skills.

The candidate will review requirements, evaluate and recommend options and implement solutions for project and operational scenarios with varying degrees of complexity for the web and mobile web projects. The candidate will work with technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Position Details

Education - B.E./B.Tech, MCA or Equivalent Computer Degree

Overall Experience - 10+ years

Essential expertise - Proficient in web technologies (React JS, Next JS, SEO, Node JS, API gateways, web services, build systems) and Cloud infrastructure.

• Providing specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered.

Technical:

• Strong understanding of Web application and mobile web application platform development, including architecture, APIs, and libraries
• Experience with software design patterns, such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Should have experience in modern web application development libraries like React JS, Next JS development with proven experience in developing scalable, reliable, and robust products.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• Understanding of software design principles and UX best practices
• Proven ability to design and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable web applications for OTT/Media streaming platforms.
• Good understanding of Web development strategies like responsive, template based development by building custom libraries or any third-party libraries
• Strong understanding of challenges in highly scaled web development for B2C and B2B environment.
• Should be knowledgeable with video player integrations with shaka-player, video-js, hls-js, dash-js or similar web players.
• Understanding of Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and CDNs is preferred.
• Basic understanding of Video transcoding engines [ffMpeG, AWS Media convert etc.]
• Should have knowledge of web technologies, APIs Gateways, Web Services for mobile apps and Payment gateways such as JusPay, razorpay , UPI, PayTM etc
• Experience with agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
