Job Description

We are looking for Web Technology Senior Developer who will be responsible for a lead role and adept in developing & maintaining supporting backend/frontend tools for Sonyliv OTT platforms. The incumbent will collaborate with technical team, vendors, and other stakeholders to review requirements, assess and recommend available options, and implement solutions for project and operational scenarios with varying degrees of complexity.

Education: B.E./B.Tech, MCA or Equivalent Computer Degree

Experience:

Proficient in web technologies (Python/NodeJs/PHP) and Cloud infrastructure.

Reporting Relationship: Platform Head, Digital Business

Business/Channel/Function: Digital

Roles & Responsibilities:

Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.

Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate solutions with operations, functional, and technical teams.

Communicate directly with business partners to understand their needs and lead them to solutions.

Should be able to perform unit testing on source code wherever required.

Developing Frontend/Backend tools and APIs as per requirement.

Should be able to perform timely evaluation of new technologies and methodologies.

Technical:

Should have excellent programming/coding and logical skills.
Should have experience in PHP/Python/Perl/NodeJs development with proven experience in developing scalable, reliable and robust products.
Should be proficient in relational and noSQL databases [Mysql/Mongo etc.] with basic understanding of Bigdata technology.
Should have good understanding of google SEO techniques and SERP best practices.
Better understanding of LINUX and Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and CDNs is preferred.
Better understanding of Video transcoding engines [FFmpeg, AWS Media convert etc..]
Should have knowledge of web technologies, APIs Gateways, Web Services for mobile apps and Payment gateways such as Bildesk, Citrus pay etc.
Through understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and Exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs.
