Java Engineering Manager

The integration of Gen AI into already established Financials Processes will help in assisting and recommending financial executives in key decision making using real time data.

Looking for Engineering Manager with proficiency in core Java, Cloud Native Application Development , strong SQL/PLSQL knowledge and zealous to explore the Gen AI based intiatives for builiding next generation Application suites.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable products for General Ledgers Accounting, ensuring best quality
  • Should be able to balance technical leadership and strong business judgment to make the right decisions
  • Assist in the continual hiring and development of technical talent to help the organization grow.
  • Work with geographically dispersed team of elite engineers in a start-up like environment taking complete ownership and accountability of the project
  • Collaborate with product managers/QA owners and other stakeholders in understanding the requirements and finalize the release plan
  • Maintain JIRA dashboard to track team velocity , backlogs and task assignment
  • Leverage on already established LLM and RAG to design Gen AI solutions for financial processes
  • Be agile, determined and comfortable driving forward even when some aspects of a project are ambiguous.
  • Showcase ability to drive transformational changes in a highly technical and dynamic environment.
  • Exhibit expert knowledge in performance, building large-scale enterprise applications, system architecture, and engineering standard methodologies.
  • Develop ultra-scalable, highly reliable diagnostic instrumentation and supportability features that include fault-tolerance, telemetry, and automatic recovery in error scenarios.
  • Have a passion to discover the true technical/operational requirements associated to the new feature requests that demonstrates exceptional customer relationship skills; provide alternate technical and functional approaches to meet the strong customer commitment timelines with the best possible solution.
  • Be a leader and provide design suggestions to the most complex problems faced by the team by sharing software engineering knowledge and experience.

Skills

• 2 years experience in managing engineering teams
  • 10+ years experience in Software Development
  • Proficiency in Java and Python programming languages
  • Expertise in SQL query performance
  • Strong analytical and debugging/problem solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Microservices Architecture
  • Proficiency in Design Patterns
  • Familiarity with Cloud Native Development
  • Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery principles in the world of cloud-based web applications.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools - GIT/Jenkins/Docker/Gradle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical content to both technical and non-technical peers, customers and at times to executive leadership.
  • Able to operate in a very fast paced environment where time to hit market is super critical.
  • Expertise Gen AI based development will be an added advantage
