Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead run-the-business projects involving product and

process changes, as well as platform projects focused on medium-level changes, including

the development of next-generation products and processes. The role ensures that projects

deliver business value aligned with Financial & Corporate Compliance (FCC) strategic goals

and reports to the Director or Associate Director of CIOX Planning & Governance. Ideal

candidates will hold a professional certification such as PMP or CSM, actively participate in

professional societies like PMI chapters, or demonstrate a strong desire to achieve

certification. Familiarity with financial compliance, document and transaction processing,

risk management, and Wolters Kluwer products is highly preferred..

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute individual projects to help FCC business units or functional areas achieve their goals, focusing on scope, schedule, and budget to deliver measurable business value.
• Ensure all assigned projects follow an appropriate change control process.
• Determine the required project management methodology (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) within the existing Planning & Governance (P&G) framework.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, products, and services.
• Effectively communicate project plans, status updates, and outcomes to stakeholders, providing the necessary information for decision-making and escalating issues as needed.
• Develop resource estimates and collaborate with program/project managers to identify required subject-matter expertise.
• Execute and store required project artifacts (e.g., charters, change requests) according to P&G guidelines, and participate in project audits for compliance.
• Apply industry-standard project and change management best practices to all assigned projects.
• Identify project risks and create mitigation plans, including strategies to accept, avoid, transfer, or reduce risks.
• Manage assigned project budgets, ensuring realization of expected financial and business benefits, including revenue generation and cost savings.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders and project teams.
• Provide regular project reviews (at least monthly) to report on scope, schedule, budget, and quality metrics per the P&G framework.
• Identify and address project roadblocks, escalating to the program manager or Director of Planning and Governance as needed.
• Ensure compliance with project time logging and capitalizing requirements based on business unit needs.
• Provide performance feedback about project team members to resource managers.
• Support the alignment of projects and programs with FCCs strategic roadmap to ensure prioritization and achievement of desired results.
• Educate stakeholders on the business value score for programs and their significance.
• Close projects upon completion, including resource release, team recognition, conducting lessons learned sessions, and producing final status updates.
• Determine the optimal resource mix required to achieve operational and financial project goals effectively.
• Possess strong working knowledge of key project management technologies, including workflow tools (e.g., Gemini, JIRA, Smartsheet) and back-office ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Maintain a high level of compliance and stay updated on industry trends affecting financial services, insurance industries, and customers, products and services.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments to facilitate development, manage risks, and ensure successful project outcomes

Other responsibilities
• Maintain a general understanding of FCC products, services, processes, and technologies supported across CIOx.

• Identify and implement process improvements for assigned projects while contributing to interdepartmental operational excellence (OpEx) initiatives.
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the manager to support team and organizational objectives.

• Skilled in conflict resolution, understanding escalation paths, and managing disputes promptly.

• Solid functional and technical knowledge required to support project objectives.
• Proficient in using Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat.
• Preference for candidates with professional certifications such as PMP or CSM.
• Active participation in professional societies, such as a PMI chapter, or a demonstrated desire to achieve certification.
