Job Title: Lead QA Engineer

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer Lead to join our QA department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in quality assurance, with a proven track record of leading a team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products. The Quality Engineer Lead will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process, implementing quality control procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1.    Lead and manage a team of quality analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.

2.    Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet or exceed customer expectations.

3.    Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

4.    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality standards and ensure adherence throughout the development lifecycle.

5.    Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and areas of improvement, and provide recommendations for process enhancements.

6.    Train and mentor team members on quality assurance best practices, tools, and methodologies.

7.    Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in quality assurance methodologies, and implement relevant changes to improve overall quality.

8.    Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document quality requirements, and ensure that these requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

9.    Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

1.    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

2.    Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

3.    Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes. Must have hands on experience in manual and automation testing with selenium.

4.    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.

5.    Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

6.    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

7.    Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

8.    Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices in quality assurance.

Technical Skill Set

1.    Manual & Automation Testing:

Hands-on experience with both manual and automation testing, particularly using Selenium. Skilled in writing test cases and maintaining automated frameworks for web and mobile applications.

2.    Unit Testing:

Proficient with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, NUnit, TestNG) and integrating them into CI pipelines.

3.    Test Planning & Execution:

Develop detailed test plans and execute functional, regression, integration, and performance tests. Log defects and track through resolution using tools like JIRA.

4.    SDLC & Agile:

Deep understanding of SDLC and QA integration across all phases. Experience working in Agile environments, collaborating with scrum teams for sprints.

5.    Defect Management:

Identify, track, and prioritize defects. Provide test summary reports, highlighting quality metrics and improvement areas.

6.    CI/CD:

Familiar with CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and ensure quality at every deployment stage.

7.    Performance Testing:

Experience with performance tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to test system behavior under load.

8.    Security Testing:

Basic knowledge of security testing practices to ensure application resilience against vulnerabilities.

Good to have:

Any one relevant certification in quality assurance, such as ISTQB, CSTE, or CSQA, is mandate.
