Position Title: Health & Safety Asst. Manager (Food safety)

Reports To: GM - HSE

Location: Bangalore

Role Description:

Directly responsible for leading the implementation of HSE programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare required HSE processes / implement existing Sodexo process at central kitchen in accordance with Sodexo global / local process
• Perform audits / inspections and assist central kitchen team to develop corrective action plans and track the corrective actions for closure
• Ensure line managers, supervisors and all required employees including sub-contractors at the kitchen are trained as per sodexo HSE training calendar
• Work with required stakeholders (internal / external) to ensure all the legal requirements of the central kitchens are met
• All incident cases reported, classified and investigated
• Ensure Business Continuity Planning and Crisis Management Plans are deployed and adhered as per the agreed plan
• Ensure all the relevant HSE documents and records maintained at the central kitchen
• Handle client audits / visits
• Provide support for bids and tenders Communicate and motivate safety at all levels
• Keep the business informed on all the high risk issues at central kitchen following escalation matrix

Qualifications:

• Degree from an accredited institution in a health and safety related discipline that includes some formal safety component
• At least 5 years of experience as leader or team member in
• implementing safety systems, policies and procedures at large central kitchen set-up

• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to liaise with various levels of management, clients and employees
• The ability to identify areas for improvement
• Strong ability to organize, analyses, interpret and take sustainable corrective action
