Billing Engineer - MEP Vendor Billing

Key Responsibilities:
1. Vendor Invoice Management:
o Review and verify vendor invoices for MEP materials, services, and subcontracted work to ensure accuracy in terms of quantities, pricing and terms.
o Cross-check vendor invoices against purchase orders, delivery notes, and contracts to validate the amounts.
o Ensure timely processing and submission of vendor invoices based on contract terms and project milestones.
2. Cost Control and Budget Monitoring:
o Monitor and control costs by ensuring that all MEP vendor bills align with the approved project budget and scope of work.
o Identify any variations or deviations in costs and highlight them for the attention of the billing manager.
o Assist in tracking and managing any changes or variations in vendor billing due to project modifications or change orders.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain organized and up-to-date files for all vendor billing documents.
o Prepare regular reports on vendor billing status, pendency, and outstanding invoices for management review.
o Provide supporting documentation for audits or internal reviews as required.
4. Collaboration with Project Team:
o Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and vendors to ensure smooth communication regarding billing, material deliveries, and work progress.
o Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure proper documentation is available for all materials and services billed.
5. Vendor Communication:
o Address and resolve any billing-related queries or issues raised by vendors promptly and professionally.
o Ensure eAective communication with vendors to prevent delays in project progress due to payment issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Educational Qualifications:
o Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
o Certification in Quantity Surveying, Billing Engineering, or a similar field is an advantage. • Experience:
o Minimum 2-3 years of experience in vendor billing for MEP services within the Civil & Interiors industry.
o Experience in managing vendor contracts, invoice processing, and cost control for MEP-related services.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and billing software tools (e.g., SAP, ERP, or similar systems).
o Familiarity with MEP systems, materials, and construction processes.
o Strong knowledge of vendor contract terms, pricing, and billing methodologies.
