Role Purpose:

The role of an Economist exists to analyze economic trends and provide insights that guide strategic decision-making. This position is crucial for understanding market dynamics, forecasting economic conditions, and advising on policy and business strategies to enhance financial performance and stability.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

- Role to share a close working relation with the Financial Markets team in terms of sharing understanding of data and various economic/policy events

- This is likely to help in the plan of action by the FM team in the financial markets

- Report writing, data understanding and dissemination

- The role would involve in-depth economics/financial markets research capabilities with a critical focus on currency and interest rates markets

- The candidate is expected to have close tracking experience of the Indian economy and a clear understanding of the dynamics of the Indian economy

- The role would involve writing regular reports, including thematic reports on macro economy issues, public policy and financial markets

- Understanding of global economic dynamics and drivers of global financial markets will be an added advantage

- The role will also involve regular client interactions

- Risk and Internal Control

- Will need to have a clear sense of compliance requirements of the Bank and adhere by it.
