Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automation QA Developer (SDET-2) to join our dynamic team. As an SDET-3, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the highest quality standards for our software products. You will work closely with the development and product teams to understand requirements, create effective test strategies, and drive the implementation of automated testing solutions to improve product quality.

This is a senior-level position where youll be expected to lead and mentor junior team members while driving best practices for test automation. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of technologies and tools in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Automation Development:
  Develop, enhance, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Expertise in Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, Cucumber, Jenkins, Appium, or related tools and technologies.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests with Jenkins, Git, and other tools.
• Test Strategy and Planning:
  Collaborate with product managers and developers to define testing requirements, understand business logic, and create detailed test plans and test cases.
• Automation Framework Design:
  Design and architect robust, reusable, and scalable test automation frameworks for both web and mobile platforms.
• Test Execution and Reporting:
  Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and generate detailed reports on test outcomes. Collaborate with the development team to resolve issues found during the testing process.
• Performance Testing:
  Experience with load testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar, to ensure the performance and scalability of the application.
• Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing:
  Provide guidance and mentorship to junior SDETs in best practices for test automation, coding standards, and problem-solving approaches.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Drive the adoption of best practices in test automation and participate in code reviews, design reviews, and testing strategy discussions to improve test coverage and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in automation testing with a strong focus on test automation frameworks.
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, or JavaScript.
• Expertise in test automation frameworks, tools, and processes (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, Cucumber, Jenkins, Appium).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and experience integrating test automation into Jenkins or other CI tools.
• Experience in testing REST APIs and web services using tool like Postman
• Hands-on experience with performance/load testing using tools like JMeter.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
• Experience in mentoring or leading teams in an automation testing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud-based testing or testing in SaaS environments.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker
• Exposure to mobile testing using Appium or other frameworks.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Working knowledge of performance testing and related tool (e.g., JMeter).
