Position Details:
Designation: Deputy CFO
Reporting To: CFO
Location: Mumbai
Experience: Around 10-15 Years of experience in Finance & Accounts from a listed Company
Role & Responsibilities:
- Responsible (either directly or via staff) for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, financial reporting, and help drive the companys financial planning, strategy and hiring (related to FP&A) needs
- Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets in collaboration with department heads, as well as reporting for the same, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
- Oversee internal and external audits and work closely with the auditors to ensure timely completion
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls including regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction (national as well as local) where the company operates, by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate actions
- Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs and communicate performance to CFO / senior management and provide in-depth financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to guide decision making
- Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization
- Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows across the company as well as its subsidiaries
- Work with management teams to efficiently develop proposals for project finance, collate project finance information, and ensure compliance and reporting
- Work with management and accounting teams of subsidiaries to improve the processes being followed by their finance teams
- Analyse internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement
- Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives
- Monitor business performance and prepare detailed MIS and ad hoc reports in preparation for earnings calls
- Participate in meetings with the companys investors and earnings calls or meetings with analysts
- Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. Coordinate and support the work of the Company Secretarial team as required
- Manage relationship with banks / lenders and investors
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- CA with at least 10-15 years post-qualifying experience
- Experience in Mergers and Acquisitions and investor relations
- Professional experience with a listed company is a must
- Experience of having worked with companies across multiple jurisdictions would be a strong plus
- Experience of having overseen the work of a company secretarial team would be a plus
- Experience of having led structuring work (related to M&A) would also be a plus
