Position title:
Finance Controller (Sr role)
Job Requirements and Skills:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller who will oversee and manage the day-to-day financial and treasury operations of the organization, ensuring optimal liquidity, investment of funds, and compliance with relevant corporate regulations, tax laws, and financial regulations (including NBFC and FEMA compliance). The Finance Controller will also contribute to the overall operational efficiency of the family office, enhancing financial processes and providing strategic support.

Equity and Capital Markets:
- Manage relationships with stockbrokers, negotiate funding arrangements, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Stay up to date with market trends and developments.
- Investment Management: Assist in the management of the family office's investment portfolio, including monitoring performance.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk.
Compliance and Regulatory:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including tax laws, company laws, and securities laws. [while this is already covered - please replace existing with this one]
Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in special projects, such as due diligence and strategic planning.

Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial regulations, treasury functions, and financial reporting.
Compliance Management: Ability to stay updated with financial regulations and ensure timely compliance.
Strategic Thinking: Capacity to align financial management with business objectives and long-term growth strategies.
Operational Efficiency: Focus on streamlining processes, improving workflows, and driving cost-effectiveness.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and compliance.
Personal Attributes: High level of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion. Education
Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A masters degree or professional certifications (e.g., MBA, CA, CFA) would be a plus.
Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of experience in finance or accounting, with significant exposure to treasury management, compliance, and regulatory environments. Strong hands-on experience with NBFC operations and financial markets. Proven track record in ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., NBFC, FEMA, tax laws).
