Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Client-Facing Techno-Functional Project Manager with expertise in PHP technologies, particularly the CodeIgniter and Laravel frameworks. This role is crucial for managing and delivering client-facing projects, requiring both technical knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate with clients.

As a project manager, you will handle the end-to-end project lifecycle, from conceptualization to delivery, ensuring that our clients expectations are met and exceeded. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a solid understanding of both project management principles and PHP-based development, combined with the ability to manage client relationships effectively. The position is based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and requires immediate joining.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Management and Client Handling :

- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

- Oversee the entire project lifecycle from requirements gathering to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

- Provide regular updates and reports to clients and internal teams, ensuring that the project is on track and client expectations are being met.

- Manage client expectations and resolve any issues or roadblocks, ensuring smooth communication and delivering high-quality solutions.

- Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project objectives.

Technical Expertise and Problem-Solving :

- Oversee development activities using PHP-based frameworks such as CodeIgniter and Laravel.

- Ensure adherence to coding best practices, maintain coding standards, and ensure the quality and security of code.

- Lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), ensuring database performance, reliability, and security.

- Develop and integrate external services like payment gateways, APIs, and cloud services into applications, ensuring seamless functionality.

- Provide solutions to technical challenges and troubleshooting issues related to application security (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, session hijacking) and performance.

- Manage and execute database migrations and optimizations to ensure smooth transitions and scalability.

Team Leadership and People Management :

- Lead a team of developers, guiding and mentoring them to ensure they adhere to project timelines and quality standards.

- Manage cross-functional teams and resources effectively, ensuring high team morale and collaboration.

- Conduct regular code reviews, providing feedback and ensuring that the team follows best practices and industry standards.

- Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement across the development team.

- Ensure that the team follows project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) for effective tracking and delivery of tasks.

e-Governance and Industry Knowledge :

- Leverage experience in e-Governance projects to drive solutions that meet the specific needs and regulations of government-related applications.

- Stay up to date with industry trends, particularly in e-Governance and PHP technologies, ensuring that the team remains competitive and uses the latest tools and frameworks.

Presentation and Communication Skills :

- Create and deliver high-quality presentations to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, translating complex technical concepts into clear, understandable content.

- Draft professional emails, project reports, and documentation that effectively communicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes.

- Ensure that all client-facing communication is clear, concise, and aligned with client expectations.

Process and Quality Assurance :

- Implement and enforce development processes and methodologies, including code reviews, version control, and deployment strategies.

- Ensure high-quality deliverables by identifying and mitigating risks early in the project lifecycle.

- Monitor progress and adjust project plans as necessary to ensure that deadlines are met.

Required Qualifications :

Educational Background : B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience :

- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in PHP development and Project Management.

- Hands-on experience with CodeIgniter and Laravel frameworks.

- Proven track record in client-facing roles, handling client requirements, communication, and feedback.

- Minimum 5 years of project management experience, including managing teams, resources, and delivering complex projects.

- Strong experience in database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL), optimization, migrations, and security practices.

- Experience working with e-Governance projects or government-related solutions is highly desirable.

Technical Skills :

- In-depth knowledge of PHP, CodeIgniter, Laravel, and related frameworks.

- Expertise in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), database optimization, and migrations.

- Strong understanding of security practices (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, session hijacking).

- Experience in integrating third-party services such as payment gateways, APIs, and cloud services.

- Familiarity with version control systems like Git, and experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).

Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication skills, including fluent English and Hindi.

- Client management skills, with the ability to manage expectations and deliver results.

- Strong email drafting and documentation skills.

- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications :

- PMP Certification or equivalent Project Management certification is a must.

Desirable Skills :

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

- Experience in cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
