Job Title: National Sales & Business Head - Technical & Project Sales
Location: Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh
Reports To: MD & Team Management

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic National Sales & Business Head to lead and drive the sales operations for our innovative racking systems across the country. This role combines strategic leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of racking and storage solutions. The National Sales Manager will oversee a team of regional sales professionals, set and implement sales strategies, and ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality technical sales and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a national sales team focused on racking solutions.
    • Able to handle Project Management and Legal Obligations.
    • Set clear performance goals, track progress, and provide regular feedback to improve sales effectiveness wit assigning and tracking daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets and help out to generate revenue.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration and high performance within the team.

  • Sales Strategy and Execution
    • Develop and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
    • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and customer needs within the racking and storage sector.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors, and contractors in the racking and warehouse industries.
    • Collaborate with product development, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment in sales and product offerings.

  • Technical Sales Expertise
    • Provide technical guidance on racking and storage systems, ensuring the team and clients understand product features, specifications, and benefits.
    • Conduct presentations, product demos, and site visits to demonstrate the technical advantages of our racking solutions.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on technical sales and solutions, ensuring that complex customer requirements are met with tailored racking solutions.
    • Assist the sales team with troubleshooting and problem-solving complex customer inquiries.

  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting
    • Analyse sales data and trends to forecast sales performance and make data-driven decisions.
    • Monitor competitors’ offerings and industry trends, adjusting strategies as necessary.
    • Provide regular sales reports to senior management, outlining key wins, opportunities, and challenges.

  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Build strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
    • Address client concerns and challenges proactively, providing solutions that meet both technical and commercial objectives.
    • Ensure a smooth handoff from sales to operations, ensuring seamless project implementation.

  • Cross Departmental Coordination:
    • Candidate must aware to coordinate with various internal departments like:
    • Clear Communication: Ensuring all teams are informed about each other’s objectives and updates. Regular meetings or updates can help keep everyone on the same page.
    • Shared Goals: Aligning different departments to a common goal or objective. This helps ensure everyone is working toward the same outcome.
    • Defined Roles: Establishing clear roles and responsibilities for each department helps reduce confusion and ensures tasks are handled efficiently.
    • Collaboration Tools: Using platforms like Slack, Microsoft Teams, or project management tools (like Trello or Asana) to streamline communication and keep track of joint projects.
    • Problem-Solving: Cross-department coordination often requires collaboration on problem-solving. Departments should share ideas, challenges, and best practices.
    • Regular Feedback: Maintaining a feedback loop is crucial. Teams should be open to giving and receiving feedback to improve coordination and resolve any issues that arise.
    • Leadership Support: Having leaders or managers champion cross-department efforts ensures teams stay focused and are supported in overcoming challenges.


Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 15+ years in a technical sales role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position, ideally in the racking, material handling, or industrial storage sectors.
    • Proven track record of success in sales management, especially in B2B environments.

  • Technical Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of racking systems, warehouse solutions, and material handling products.
    • Strong understanding of the technical aspects of designing, installing, and servicing racking systems.
    • Ability to translate complex technical information into customer-friendly terms.

  • Leadership:
    • Experience in managing and motivating a national sales team.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead by example and foster a positive, performance-driven team culture.

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, Sales, or a related field and Industry.
    • Additional certifications or training in technical sales, warehouse systems, or engineering is a plus.

  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and Team Leading skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Able to do root cause analysis and self-motivated and Decision maker
    • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
