Procurement Manager

Job Description:

1)Create and implement regional procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within industry & building long-term relationships with vendors in the industry

2)Compare proposals for price and specifications

3)Negotiate with vendors to reduce costs & review contract specifications on behalf of the company

4)Communicate with vendors to ensure that the product arrives in a timely fashion

and maintain long-term relationships with critical suppliers

5)Manage technological systems that track the shipment, inventory and supply of materials

6)Lead transformational activities to build procurement organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency & to prepare daily, weekly and monthly procurement reports

7)Develops, implements, and maintains a commodity inventory strategy that supports a company's supply chain & Ensure cost-effective purchase of all materials and services as required by the procurement plan whilst ensuring quality control and compliance with the Company's policies

8)Evaluates market conditions in order to maintain inventory levels and control costs.

9)Evaluates and recommends vendors & vendor Development

10)Manages ongoing relationships with suppliers & keep abreast of changing industry trends

11)Follow proper channel or system for smooth functioning of Purchase Department

12)Must have experience in purchasing spare parts , Gear boxes etc.

13)New Vendor Development for purchasing best quality items with minimum cost.
