Data Analyst - Power BI & Tableau (2-5 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking two highly motivated and skilled Data Analysts to join our team on a 9-month remote contract basis. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights through the development of interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau.

You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs, design and implement data solutions, and communicate your findings effectively. This is a fantastic opportunity for junior to mid-level analysts to contribute to impactful projects and enhance their data analysis skills.

Responsibilities :

- Data Collection & Preparation : Gather data from various sources, clean, transform, and prepare it for analysis. This includes data profiling, validation, and ensuring data quality.

- Dashboard Development : Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau from scratch. This includes creating visualizations, calculations, and interactive elements to effectively communicate data insights.

- SQL Proficiency : Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases. Optimize queries for performance and efficiency.

- Python for Data Analysis : Utilize Python libraries (i.e., Pandas, NumPy) for data manipulation, cleaning, and analysis. Automate data-related tasks and processes.

- Data Visualization & Storytelling : Present data insights in a clear, concise, and compelling manner through visualizations and dashboards. Develop data stories that effectively communicate key findings to stakeholders.

- Requirements Gathering : Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data analysis and reporting.

- Data Analysis & Interpretation : Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Interpret the results and provide actionable recommendations.

- Collaboration & Communication : Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders. Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.

- Documentation : Maintain thorough documentation of data sources, data transformations, and dashboard development processes.

Required Skills & Experience :

Essential :

- Proven experience in developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau from scratch.

- Demonstrable portfolio of work is highly desirable.

- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.

- Experience with Python and relevant data analysis libraries (i.e., Pandas, NumPy).

- Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Desirable :

- Experience with Looker or other data visualization tools.

- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

- Experience working with large datasets.

- Knowledge of statistical methods and techniques
