What would you do?
As a key critical resource for the People Services team, oversees the operations and management of our payroll and systems team, delivering high quality payroll services for the organization. This role leads a team of leaders with a focus on continually striving for improvements and efficiencies in our work to ultimately provide the best experience for our organization. Accountabilities:

Ensure payroll compliance and controls are in place, monitored and updated as required

Ensure completion of year end processes within government timelines

Fosters a team environment while promoting a positive work place with multiple functional areas

Coach, develop and motivate employees to provide high levels of service

Provide regular constructive feedback to individuals and teams in order to develop a world class payroll services function

Understand how business partners/divisions interact to better provide value to the customer

Demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills to all levels of the business.

Offer assistance and advice to other departments as required

Use professionalism, diplomacy and effective communication skills to communicate information, resolve customer issues and negotiate solutions in a timely manner

Deliver effective presentations to a wide range of audiences at different levels

Provide support and guidance to future payroll implementation projects

Ad hoc assignments as they arise from time to time from the VP FinanceThe Payroll Planning and Distribution team focuses on distributing employees pay on time through chosen channels such as banks and execute the distribution of earnings statements either manually or electronically. The team is responsible for addressing queries related to provident fund, new joinee/existing employee mediclaim policies, monthly group payroll reconciliation and for updating monthly resignation, retirement and contract closures. The team is also responsible for resolving payroll problems within the confines of established policies & procedures using relevant payroll system.
