Job Description
As a Mixologist at Scylla Luxury Resort Spa, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional cocktails and beverages that delight our guests and elevate their overall dining and entertainment experiences. With your creative flair, extensive knowledge of mixology, and dedication to quality, you will contribute to the resorts reputation for offering innovative and memorable beverage offerings.
Responsibilities:
1. Cocktail Creation:
- Create unique and innovative cocktail recipes that showcase premium spirits, fresh ingredients, and creative presentation techniques.
- Design signature cocktails and seasonal specials that reflect the resorts brand and culinary concepts.
- Continuously experiment with new flavors, techniques, and ingredients to keep the beverage menu fresh and exciting.
2. Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of classic and contemporary cocktails, mocktails, and specialty beverages with precision and attention to detail.
- Ensure consistency in flavor, presentation, and quality of all beverages served.
- Adhere to standard recipes, portion sizes, and preparation methods to maintain beverage standards.
3. Customer Service:
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing personalized recommendations and suggestions based on their preferences.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of beverage offerings, including ingredients, flavor profiles, and pairing recommendations.
- Enhance the overall guest experience by delivering exceptional service and creating memorable interactions at the bar.
4. Bar Operations:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, including bar tools, glassware, and ingredients.
- Monitor inventory levels of spirits, mixers, garnishes, and other bar supplies, and place orders as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and responsible alcohol service practices.
5. Menu Development:
- Collaborate with the Food and Beverage team to develop and update beverage menus, including cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options.
- Provide input on pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and menu engineering to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.
6. Training and Development:
- Train and mentor bar staff on beverage preparation techniques, cocktail recipes, and customer service standards.
- Conduct regular tastings and training sessions to educate staff on new products, trends, and techniques in mixology.
7. Event Support:
- Provide beverage support for special events, private functions, and themed nights, including menu planning, staffing, and execution.
- Collaborate with event planners and catering teams to create custom beverage packages and experiences for guests.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Mixologist or Bartender in a high-end restaurant, bar, or luxury resort.
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and mixology techniques.
- Certification or training in mixology and responsible alcohol service preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative flair and passion for crafting unique and memorable cocktails.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
