Job Description
- Schwing Stetter India Pvt Ltd is looking for Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager - Quality to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey
- As a Senior Engineer in Quality, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing quality assurance and control processes to ensure that products or services meet or exceed established quality standards
- You will also play a crucial role in identifying and implementing quality improvement initiatives and driving a culture of continuous improvement
- Key Responsibilities : Quality Assurance : Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and documentation to ensure products or services meet or exceed customer and industry quality requirements
- Process Improvement : Lead and participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality processes, reduce defects, and improve overall operational efficiency
- Quality Audits : Conduct internal quality audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations
- Root Cause Analysis : Investigate and resolve quality issues by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Quality Control : Develop and implement quality control plans, perform inspections, and ensure compliance with quality control procedures throughout the production or service delivery process
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality-related documentation, including quality manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions
- Data Analysis : Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare and present quality reports to management
- Supplier Quality Management : Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that raw materials or components meet quality specifications and standards
- Regulatory Compliance : Stay informed about relevant quality regulations and industry standards, ensuring compliance with all applicable requirements
- Training and Development : Train and mentor junior quality engineers and team members, helping them develop their skills and knowledge
- Quality Metrics : Define and track key quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of quality programs and initiatives
- Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Several years of experience in quality engineering or a similar role, with a strong background in quality management systems and quality control methodologies
- Strong knowledge of quality management standards and regulatory requirements
- Experience with quality improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or similar
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
- Preferred Qualifications : Certification in quality management, such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt
- Experience in a specific industry or sector (eg, automotive, aerospace, healthcare)
- Knowledge of quality management software and tools
- Project management skills
