Development Engineer

Responsibilities, Tasks

He / she is responsible in a first phase for:

- Responsible for managing the technical team

- Responsible for cost optimization of products (value engineering projects)

- Technical support for products on sale

- Close cooperation with internal partners (purchasing, assembly, etc.)

- Coordination with external partners (e.g. suppliers, control and software developers, other technical specialists)

- Leadership and training of the subordinate employees of the R&D team

- Monitoring the progress of the project (schedule, costs, quality, etc.)

- Organize and prepare for the review meetings

- Regularly informs the management about the progress of the project and the open points from the technical area.

- Supporting marketing / sales and customer service for technical questions

- Interaction with the R&D team in Switzerland

In a second phase :

- Managing technical development projects (concept phase to market launch)

- Actively participates in development work - develops concepts, solutions, etc. on CAD-System

Education, experience

- Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering

- Several years of experience in the field of product development of series machines

- Very good CAD skills

- Experience in cost-optimized design

- Project management experience

- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering and controls

- Knowledge in the field of plastics technology

- Leadership experience

- Good oral and written English skills
