PL/SQL Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, and optimize Oracle database applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PL/SQL programming, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning to support business applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
• Optimize SQL queries and improve database performance tuning.
• Design and implement database structures, indexes, and partitions for efficient data processing.
• Work closely with business analysts, software engineers, and QA teams to understand requirements.
• Debug and troubleshoot database-related issues in development, testing, and production environments.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for data migration and transformation.
• Implement security best practices for database access and operations.
• Monitor database performance and resource utilization, identifying areas for improvement.
• Write and maintain technical documentation for database processes and stored procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a PL/SQL Developer.
• Strong expertise in PL/SQL programming (stored procedures, functions, triggers, packages).
• Experience in query optimization and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases (Oracle 11g/12c/19c).
• Knowledge of database indexing, partitioning, and materialized views.
• Experience with ETL tools and data migration processes.
• Familiarity with Oracle Forms, Reports, or APEX (optional but preferred).
• Strong understanding of database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Experience with version control tools (Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and SQL debugging skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud databases (AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud, Azure SQL).
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Snowflake.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a DevOps environment.
