SQL Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Developer to design, manage, and optimize our SQL databases. Ideal candidates will possess strong database design, SQL querying, performance tuning, data profiling, and data anonymization skills. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement highly stable, reliable databases and database components.
• Develop and optimize SQL components to enhance performance.
• Ensure adherence to performance and data security best practices and policies.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in SQL.
• Optimize complex, large-scale SQL statements for improved performance.
• Apply industry best practices in database management and optimization.
• Monitor and fine-tune database performance, addressing data processing issues as needed.
• Utilize metadata to build highly configurable and scalable database components.
• Perform data validations to ensure consistency and synchronization across systems.
• Display advanced expertise in tuning SQL queries for optimal performance.
• Knowledge of data archiving and purging is a plus.
• Handle analytical queries and manage cross-database server queries efficiently.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in T-SQL and SSIS, along with experience using tools like SQL Profiler and SQL Server Agent.
• Proficiency in working with various database systems such as Postgres, SQL Server, and others.
• Ability to build database components tailored to client business needs.
• Skilled in impact analysis, deployment, and rollback strategies for code releases.
• Experience with cloud-based SQL services (e.g., Azure/AWS) is a plus.
