MS SQL Lead

Job description

We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain databases and database applications using Microsoft SQL Server. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Role & responsibilities

1. Database Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain databases and database applications using Microsoft SQL Server.

2. Query Optimization: Optimize database queries for performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and manipulation.

3. Database Administration: Perform database administration tasks, including backup and recovery, security, and performance monitoring.

4. Power BI Development: Create data visualizations and reports using Power BI, including designing and developing dashboards, reports, and datasets.

5. Data Modelling: Develop and maintain data models to support business intelligence and reporting requirements.

6. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot database issues, collaborating with teams to resolve problems and ensure system stability and ensure data integrity.

7. Code Reviews: Perform code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and design principles.

8. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of database applications.

Preferred candidate profile

1. MS SQL Server Expertise: 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, development, and administration.

2. T-SQL Proficiency: Proficient in T-SQL, with experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.

3.Power BI Expertise: 2+ years of experience with Power BI, including creating data visualizations, reports, and dashboards.

4. Performance Tuning: Knowledge of performance tuning techniques, including indexing, caching, and query optimization.
