Role Overview

Job Title : Trainer R&D Department

Functional Area : R&D

Location : Surat H.O.


Job Purpose

The Trainer will be responsible for creating and delivering comprehensive technical training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the R&D team. This role will focus on developing technical competencies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering innovation within the R&D department of a medical devices company.


Key Responsibilities


Training Program Development and Delivery

    • Design and deliver technical training modules on topics such as medical device design, materials science, manufacturing processes, and regulatory compliance.
    • Develop onboarding training for new hires to familiarize them with R&D processes, tools, and company standards.
    • Conduct workshops on advanced technologies, tools, and product development methodologies.

Regulatory and Compliance Training

    • Provide training on global regulatory standards, including ISO 13485, FDA guidelines, MDR, and GMP requirements.
    • Ensure team members understand and apply regulatory and quality standards in their works

Skills Assessment and Development

    • Assess the technical skills of R&D team members and identify areas for improvement.
    • Customize training programs based on team members’ skill levels and project requirements.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of training sessions through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.

Knowledge Management

    • Create and maintain a repository of training materials, technical documents, and best practices.
    • Regularly update training content to reflect advancements in medical device technology and industry trends.

Collaboration and Mentorship

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Quality, Manufacturing, Clinical) to ensure training aligns with organizational goals.
    • Mentor and guide team members on complex technical topics and problem-solving strategies.

Continuous Improvement

    • Stay updated on industry developments and incorporate them into training programs.
    • Gather feedback from participants to improve training methods and content.


Roles and Responsibilities (R&R)


Primary Roles:

  • Technical Educator: Deliver high-quality, interactive training sessions on technical and regulatory topics.
  • Content Developer: Create structured training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules.
  • Skill Assessor: Evaluate team members’ technical proficiency and provide recommendations for growth.
  • Knowledge Enabler: Act as a resource for technical queries and support innovation within the R&D team.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the team is proficient in design controls, validation protocols, and risk management processes.
  • Conduct hands-on training on tools like CAD, FEA, and statistical analysis software.
  • Train team members on product testing and validation processes, including biocompatibility and reliability testing.
  • Support audit readiness by ensuring the team is well-versed in compliance requirements.

Eligibility criteria

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biomedical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the medical device industry, preferably within R&D or technical roles.
  • Experience in creating and delivering technical training programs.
  • Strong knowledge of product development, regulatory standards, and quality systems.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in technical tools and software, such as CAD, FEA, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of global regulatory standards (ISO 13485, FDA, MDR).
  • Ability to design and implement effective training programs.
