Purchase Head/GM/AGM

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchase Head to oversee the procurement of raw materials (HR Coil, Plates, Angle, Channel, Zinc), consumables, and electrical and mechanical items for our steel manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and timely delivery to support production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials and consumables to ensure uninterrupted supply for production.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
• Monitor market trends and maintain supplier relationships to secure competitive advantages.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements in all procurement activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and finance, to align procurement goals with organizational objectives.
• Evaluate and onboard new suppliers while periodically reviewing existing supplier performance.
• Manage inventory levels effectively to minimize holding costs without disrupting production.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement team to achieve department goals.
• Prepare periodic procurement reports, cost analyses, and forecasts for management review.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in the steel manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of raw materials, consumables, and electrical/mechanical components.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
