Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and result-driven General Manager (Production and Planning) to oversee and optimize the production processes for railway manufacturing items such as Overhead Equipment (OHE), Steel Port Structures (SPS), and Porter Masts. The ideal candidate will lead production planning, ensure quality standards, and manage resources efficiently to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production strategies to achieve manufacturing objectives, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
• Oversee production planning, scheduling, and execution to meet customer specifications and deadlines.
• Manage resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and quality assurance, to optimize workflows and resolve operational challenges.
• Monitor production metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead and mentor the production team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
• Prepare and present periodic reports on production performance, budgets, and forecasts to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in production management, preferably in the railway manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication abilities.
