General Manager

Job Title: General Manager - Sponge Iron Plant (2x100 TPD capacity)

Location: Hyderabad

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled General Manager to lead our Sponge Iron plant with a capacity of 2x100 TPD. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and operations of the plant, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy, mechanical engineering, or a related field, with at least 10-15 years of experience in the steel industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee the entire operations of the Sponge Iron plant, including production, maintenance, and quality control.

- Ensure the plant operates at optimal levels, meeting production targets, and maintaining high-quality standards.

- Lead and manage a team of department heads, including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety.

- Implement and monitor safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

- Optimize plant performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-effective solutions.

- Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and increase productivity.

- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and marketing.

- Liaise with regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

- Prepare and manage budgets, reports, and performance metrics.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

- At least 10-15 years of experience in the steel industry, preferably in Sponge Iron production.

- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in team management.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

- In-depth knowledge of Sponge Iron production processes, quality control, and safety standards.

- Experience with plant optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement.

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance.
