Job Description
Royal Enfield is seeking a skilled and passionate UX Researcher with a focus on Human-Machine
Interface (HMI) UX to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for
researching and designing HMI systems that deliver a seamless and intuitive user experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our HMI solutions adhere to Royal Enfields principles of being clean, contextual, and glanceable.

Position Title: UX Researcher
Reports to: Manager - EV Product Strategy
Function: EV Commercial
Responsibilities
- HMI UX Research: Lead research efforts specifically focused on Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems, understanding user interactions, needs, and pain points within the motorcycle context.
- Research Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive research plans, identifying key research questions, objectives, and appropriate methodologies for HMI UX.
- Data Analysis: Analyze research data related to HMI interactions to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights that can guide design and product decisions.
- Proof of Concept (PoC) Development: Create and present Proof of Concept (PoC) prototypes for HMI systems to demonstrate research findings and design concepts. Ensure alignment with project goals and obtain sign-off from management at various stages of the project.
- Problem solving: Identify design constraints from the hardware and software teams, and make strategic design and UX decisions related to core functions and features.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate HMI research findings into the product development process.
- Persona Development: Create user personas, journey maps, and other deliverables to effectively communicate user needs and experiences specific to HMI.
- Reporting & Presentations: Synthesize and present research findings in clear, compelling reports and presentations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging research methods, and best practices in HMI UX to continuously improve our research processes.

Work Experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive
Science, Anthropology, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
- 2-5 years of experience in UX research, with a proven track record of conducting successful
research projects in automotive HMI or related fields.
- Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Figma or similar Strong understanding of various
research methodologies and when to apply them, especially within the context of HMI.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings
clearly and concisely.
