Position : Active Directory Migration Specialist
Location : Remote
Job Type : Fulltime
Key Responsibilities :
Active Directory Migration :
- Manage end-to-end migration of Active Directory, ensuring minimal disruption to services and systems.
Domain Controller Management :
- Oversee the management of Active Directory domain controller FSMO roles, ensuring proper allocation and functioning.
Group Policy Administration :
- Develop, implement, and manage Group Policies to maintain system integrity and security.
Disaster Recovery :
- Design and implement Active Directory disaster recovery strategies, ensuring business continuity.
Trust Relationship Management :
- Configure and manage trust relationships, particularly between Forest and Child domains.
Replication Troubleshooting :
- Identify and resolve replication issues, ensuring the integrity and availability of directory data.
Functional Level Knowledge :
- Maintain knowledge of and manage Active Directory functional levels to optimize performance and compatibility.
DNS Management :
- Configure and manage DNS functions including conditional forwarders, stub zones, and Active Directory-integrated zones.
Azure Active Directory Management :
- Understand and manage Azure Active Directory, integrating it with on-premises solutions as necessary.
Root Cause Analysis :
- Conduct root cause analysis for Active Directory-related issues, providing solutions to prevent recurrence.
PowerShell Scripting :
- Utilize basic PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks within the Active Directory environment.
AD Connect and ADFS :
- Maintain knowledge and hands-on experience with AD Connect, ADFS, and Azure AD for seamless hybrid environments.
Qualifications :
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience :
- Proven experience in Active Directory migration, management, and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills :
- Strong understanding of Active Directory architecture, Group Policies, DNS, and replication.
- Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and related technologies.
Problem-Solving Skills :
- Ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
Communication Skills :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications :
Certifications :
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified Identity and Access Administrator Associate.
Scripting Skills :
- Experience with PowerShell scripting to automate routine tasks.
