Foundit - Windows Server Administrator - Active Directory/DNS (7-10 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

Windows Server Management :

- Administer and maintain Windows Server operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and stability.

- Perform system upgrades, patches, and updates for Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments.

Active Directory & DNS Administration :

- Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, and DNS configuration.

- Ensure seamless connectivity and system integration through effective configuration and troubleshooting.

Scripting & Automation :

- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks, system monitoring, and server management processes.

Virtualization & Infrastructure Management :

- Manage virtualized environments using VMware or other virtualization technologies, ensuring high availability and performance of virtual machines and associated infrastructure.

Troubleshooting & Support :

- Provide Tier 2/3 support for Windows server-related issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing solutions.

- Resolve system performance and application-related issues promptly and efficiently.

Collaboration & Documentation :

- Work closely with internal teams to ensure system integrations and configurations align with business goals.

- Create and maintain technical documentation related to server infrastructure, processes, and troubleshooting guidelines.

Required Skills :

Windows Server Administration :

- 7-10 years of experience in administering Windows Server environments, including versions 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022.

Active Directory & Group Policy :

- Strong experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS management and troubleshooting.

PowerShell Scripting :

- Proficiency in developing and automating processes with PowerShell scripting.

Virtualization :

- Understanding of VMware or other virtualization technologies, including VM provisioning, management, and optimization.

Problem-Solving Skills :

- Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve system and infrastructure-related issues.

Communication Skills :

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

Certifications :

- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification is a plus.

- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification or similar experience is desirable.

Experience with Cloud Platforms :

- Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure or AWS would be an advantage
