SAP ABAP HANA Consultant

Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP HANA Consultant to design, develop, and optimize custom SAP applications.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development on S/4HANA, leveraging HANA specific enhancements, CDS views, and AMDP.

This role requires collaboration with functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Application Development :

- Develop custom applications using ABAP on HANA, including CDS Views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), and OData services.

- Enhance SAP modules (MM, SD, FI, etc.) with HANA-optimized ABAP programming.

System Optimization :

- Analyze and optimize existing code to leverage HANA's in-memory capabilities.

- Implement performance-tuning techniques such as SQL trace and runtime analysis for ABAP code.

Integration & Interfaces :

- Develop and maintain integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems using IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs, and REST APIs.

- Create and manage SAP Fiori applications and their integration with back-end systems.

Data Modeling :

- Design and implement HANA-native solutions such as attribute, analytical, and calculation views.

- Work with functional teams to create data models and queries for real-time reporting.

Testing & Documentation :

- Perform unit testing and support integration testing for developed objects.

- Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, and guidelines for custom developments.

Qualifications :

Experience :

- Minimum 6+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, with at least 3+ years on S/4HANA.

- Strong experience with HANA-specific features like CDS Views, AMDP, and SAP HANA Studio.

- Experience in SAP Fiori development and OData services.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in ABAP development, including classical reports, ALV, forms (SmartForms, Adobe Forms), and enhancements.

- Strong knowledge of performance tuning in HANA and ABAP.

- Hands-on experience with SAP UI5 and Fiori app development.

- Familiarity with SAP Business Workflow and BRF+.

Certifications (Preferred) : SAP Certified Development Specialist - ABAP for SAP HANA 2.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

- Self-driven and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
