Rigel Networks - Application Monitoring Engineer - IBM Tivoli (3-6 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Monitor application performance using ITMS (IBM Tivoli Monitoring) and other monitoring tools.

- Analyze monitoring data to identify performance bottlenecks, trends, and potential issues.

- Proactively investigate and resolve application performance problems.

- Configure and maintain ITMS monitoring agents and consoles.

- Develop and implement performance dashboards and reports.

- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.

- Participate in incident response and problem management activities.

- Automate routine monitoring tasks using scripting languages (Python, Perl).

- Stay updated on the latest monitoring technologies and best practices.

Qualifications :

- 3+ years of experience in application monitoring and performance tuning.

- Strong experience with ITMS (IBM Tivoli Monitoring) or similar monitoring tools.

- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl) for automation.

- Good understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, networks, databases).

- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud monitoring tools (AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).

- Experience with log management tools (Splunk, ELK).

- ITIL certifications (ITIL Foundation)
