Rigel Networks - Application Engineer - Support & Maintenance (5-7 yrs)

Responsibilities:

- Provide Level 2/3 technical support for critical applications, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues.

- Monitor application performance, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

- Perform application maintenance activities, including patching, upgrades, and code deployments.

- Analyze application logs and system metrics to identify and resolve issues proactively.

- Document and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides and run books.

- Participate in incident management and problem management activities.

- Collaborate with development teams to identify and implement application enhancements.

- Ensure application stability, security, and compliance with established standards.

- Participate in on-call rotations for critical applications.

Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in application support and maintenance.

- Strong experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.

- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell, Perl).

- Knowledge of databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

- Experience with application servers (Tomcat, WebSphere, JBoss).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).

- Experience with Agile development methodologies
