Position Profile: Category Manager
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive CategoryManager to oversee and optimize our apparel categories while collaboratingclosely with our design team and managing our e-commerce platform. This role ispivotal in ensuring our product offerings meet market demands, drive sales, andenhance our online shopping experience.

Position Overview: We arelooking for a strategic and results-oriented Category Manager to oversee oure-commerce platform and drive growth in our apparel categories. This role involvesdeveloping and executing strategies to meet sales goals, enhance onlinepresence, and optimize product performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Category Strategy and Management:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
    • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitive positioning.
    • Set category goals, KPIs, and strategic plans to drive growth and profitability.
  2. Collaboration with Design Team:
    • Partner with the design team to align product development with market trends, customer needs, and brand identity.
    • Provide input on design concepts and product assortments based on category performance and customer feedback.
    • Ensure smooth communication and coordination between design, production, and other relevant teams.
  3. E-Commerce Management:
    • Oversee the presentation and optimization of category pages on the e-commerce platform.
    • Implement strategies to improve product visibility, search rankings, and customer engagement online.
    • Manage online promotions, pricing strategies, and product launches to maximize sales and enhance the customer experience.
  4. Product Selection and Merchandising:
    • Curate and manage product assortments for the assigned categories, both online and offline.
    • Develop and execute pricing strategies, including regular pricing, discounts, and promotions.
    • Ensure effective visual merchandising both on the e-commerce site and in any physical locations.
  5. Performance Monitoring and Analysis:
    • Track and analyze category performance metrics, such as sales, margins, inventory turnover, and online traffic.
    • Prepare and present performance reports and recommendations to senior management.
    • Use data insights to drive category improvements and refine strategies.
  6. Vendor and Supplier Relations:
    • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
    • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to optimize inventory management and cost-efficiency.
    • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
  7. Customer Insights and Feedback:
    • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform category strategy and product development.
    • Stay updated on customer trends and emerging needs to drive innovation and category growth.
  8. Inventory Management:
    • Work with inventory teams to ensure optimal stock levels and manage inventory turnover.
    • Coordinate with logistics to ensure timely replenishment and efficient order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, E-Commerce, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in category management, merchandising, or e-commerce within the apparel industry.
  • Strong understanding of apparel trends, e-commerce best practices, and market dynamics.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with design teams and managing online retail platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in e-commerce platforms, merchandising software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
