AGM Procurement : Solar Utility Project

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Strategy Development:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to source electrical equipment and materials (such as solar inverters, transformers, electrical cables, switchgear, etc.) for solar power projects.
• Work with the senior management to create long-term strategies for electrical procurement that align with organizational goals.
2. Vendor Management:
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors for electrical components used in solar power generation.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality products.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any procurement-related issues.
3. Procurement Operations:
• Oversee the procurement process for electrical components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure that specifications for electrical materials and equipment are accurate and suitable for solar power projects.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage the supply chain to avoid shortages or excess stock.
4. Project Management Support:
• Work closely with project management teams to ensure timely procurement of electrical components based on project timelines.
• Address procurement challenges, such as delays in delivery or quality issues, and take corrective action.
5. Cost Management & Budgeting:
• Monitor and control procurement budgets, ensuring that purchases are within financial limits and cost-effective.
• Prepare and analyze procurement reports to track spending and identify opportunities for cost savings.
6. Quality Control and Compliance:
• Ensure that all electrical equipment and materials meet the required quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and certifications for solar power generation.
• Conduct quality checks and audits of the procured items to ensure they align with project specifications.
7. Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and finance, to ensure smooth procurement processes.
• Communicate with other departments and stakeholders to provide status updates, resolve issues, and ensure project timelines are met.

IT Expertise ERP hands on experience preferably SAP.
