Control Tower Manager

This role in the Reliance Consumer Products business is responsible for logistics activities within a 3PL and drive cost reduction, service levels, effective utilization of warehouse and logistics activities. You are also in charge of the implement Cluster priorities and initiatives in the factory logistics areas.

Role & responsibilities:

• Ensure goods receipts from suppliers and deliveries to customer: resolve issues that might arise with deliveries (in/out) at warehouse / port / customs / transportation company: administer and manage documentation for all goods in/out of factory (e.g., invoices, customs documentation)
• Implement and lead a good warehouse, transportation and logistics resource management in the factory (and outsourced if any)
• Ensure correct and timely reporting of KPIs (incl., costs, payload, PDII) for all metrics concerning the factory, inclusive all the way to final destination on the DOs
• Actively manage the factory logistics team (e.g., performance management, individual development)
• Identify various risks that can occur at the time of concluding a contract or business execution and establish alternatives to hedge them.
• Risk analysis for minimization of accident, theft & hijack
• Drive the expansion of WCM to attack Logistics losses (both in costs and service level) impacting the factory, involving other stakeholders as needed (e.g., CSRs, Supplier Management, carriers)
• Lead factory logistics, working with Customer Service and Design, to optimize internal and outsourced resources to maximize short and mid term capacity utilization and efficient usage of working capital
• Work with Planning and Customer Service to ensure proper inventory management (e.g., inventory reduction, eliminate scraping)
• Secure logistics quality of service towards customers, incl. claim and complaints management / root cause analysis / eradication
• Monitor and evaluate transporter performance in logistics to drive improvements in:
• Time in Transit through benchmarking & negotiation
• Truck utilization through monitoring & analysis of performance, adoption of best practices
• Drive the freight negotiation / vendor selection to optimize spend.
