Fleet Manager - Middle Mile (3-10 yrs)

- Defining, building and executing middle mile delivery operations along with all the processes.

- Managing all aspects of the middle mile and ensures end-to-end smooth running of logistics operations for the zone/area.

- Good understanding of day-to-day operations of 3PL logistics / city logistics / middle mile operations

- Planning, Organizing & Monitoring middle mile operations.

- Strong knowledge in trucking operations. Route planning for Middle mile

- Cost control: Vendor Management & Fleet Management.

- Plan and monitor the day to operations to ensure smooth operations and vehicle utilization

- Review regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities

- Manages the manpower planning & shift rostering as per the load projections and productivity targets.

- Proper implementation of the policies and is a part of audit team to find gaps and implement solutions.

- Compliance to the SOPs and facility 5S.

- Adhere and enforce all operational procedures and policies, and also ensures timely audit is conducted.

- Work closely with all Functional & Regional Heads and facilitate growth

- Network Planning and Vendor management

- Managing operations through a mix of self & vendor-based model.

- Resource optimization of zonal distribution center and network, to ensure efficiency and profitability.

- People management; manpower planning, allocations as per need of the business.
