Solution Analyst - IBP Inventory Optimization

RED Global is searching for an IBP Resource in India for a Global Pharma Client - Utilizing SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) software to strategically manage and optimize inventory levels across a supply chain, aiming to balance customer service levels with cost efficiency by analyzing demand patterns, lead times, and other factors to determine optimal stock levels at each location within the network; requiring strong understanding of supply chain principles, data analysis, and proficiency in SAP IBP functionalities related to inventory optimization.Key responsibilities may include:Inventory planning and analysis:Utilizing SAP IBP to analyze historical demand data, forecast future demand, and calculate optimal inventory targets for each product across multiple stocking locations.Identifying key drivers of inventory levels, such as lead times, demand variability, and safety stock requirements.Performing scenario planning to assess the impact of different inventory strategies on customer service and cost.Supply chain optimization:Collaborating with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, procurement) to align inventory strategies with overall business objectives.Leveraging IBP capabilities to optimize inventory across the entire supply chain network, considering multi-stage production and distribution processes.Identifying and addressing potential supply chain disruptions that could impact inventory levels.Data management and reporting:Maintaining and updating master data within the IBP system, ensuring accuracy of inventory parameters.Generating reports and dashboards to monitor key inventory metrics (e.g., inventory turnover, stock-out rate, safety stock levels).Analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary adjustments.Implementation and support:Participating in the design and implementation of IBP inventory optimization solutions for new projects or business expansions.Providing training and support to users on IBP inventory optimization functionalities.Troubleshooting system issues related to inventory planning and optimization.Required skills and experience:Strong understanding of supply chain management principles:Deep knowledge of inventory management concepts such as demand forecasting, safety stock calculations, lead time analysis, and customer service levels.Expertise in SAP IBP:Proficiency in using IBP functionalities for inventory optimization, including demand planning, supply planning, and network optimization modules.Data analysis and reporting skills:Ability to extract, analyze, and interpret large datasets to inform inventory decisions.Problem-solving and critical thinking:Capability to identify complex issues within the supply chain and develop effective solutions.Collaboration and communication skills:Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
