Role & responsibilities

1. Recruitment and Staffing

  • Designing and monitoring performance appraisal systems to evaluate staff effectiveness.
  • Setting clear goals, providing feedback, and facilitating professional growth for employees.

5. Training and Development

  • Identifying skill gaps and organizing training sessions or workshops for teachers and administrative staff.
  • Encouraging continuous professional development through certifications and courses.

6. Attendance and Leave Management

  • Monitoring staff attendance, maintaining records, and managing leave requests.
  • Ensuring adequate staffing levels during peak academic periods.

7. Payroll and Benefits Administration

  • Overseeing payroll processing, including salary distribution, deductions, and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Managing employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and perks.

8. Compliance and Legal Requirements

  • Ensuring adherence to employment laws, workplace safety regulations, and child protection policies.
  • Keeping updated on education-specific HR regulations and implementing necessary changes.

9. Employee Engagement

  • Organizing team-building activities, staff celebrations, and motivational programs.
  • Promoting staff involvement in school events and activities.

10. Record Keeping and Documentation

  • Maintaining accurate records of employee contracts, certifications, and professional development.
  • Ensuring confidentiality of employee data and sensitive school information.

11. Support for Management

  • Advising school leadership on HR-related matters, including workforce planning and employee satisfaction.
