Job Description for QA Automation Engineer

Requirements

1.Proven experience as a QAAutomation Tester or similar role.

2.Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

3.Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools such as RestAssured, Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG.

4.Strong understanding of using different API & UI automation tools, Element locators, Assertions, and reporting techniques.

5.Hands-on experience with programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.

6.Understanding web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web services (RESTful APIs).

7.Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Bamboo).

8.Experience in JS-based frameworks like - Cypress, Playwright, and WebDriverIO would be an advantage.

9.Experience with mobile app testing would be preferred.

10.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to work in an Agile development environment.

11.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

12.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as in a team.

13.Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities-

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and products, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

Design, develop, and maintain test cases, automated test frameworks, and scripts using industry.

standard tools and frameworks.

Perform thorough testing of software applications, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues promptly.

Analyze test results and provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders, highlighting any quality or performance concerns.

Collaborate with the development team to integrate automated tests into the continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in test automation methodologies and tools, and apply them to improve the QA process.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and RestAssured test frameworks and tools.

Execute automated test scripts using CI/CD to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.

Identify and report software defects, issues, and potential risks.

Continuously improve test automation frameworks(Data-driven, Keyword-driven & Hybrid) and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
