Role & responsibilities

Overview: Sales executives are typically responsible for selling a company's products or services to clients. They play a key role in the entire sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and maintaining customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and reaching out to potential customers.
  • Presenting product or service information to clients.
  • Negotiating contracts and closing deals.
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as marketing and customer support.

Territory Sales Managers (TSM):

  • Overview: Territory Sales Managers are responsible for managing sales activities within a specific geographic area or territory. They often work closely with sales representatives and provide leadership to achieve sales goals in their assigned region.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Developing and implementing sales strategies for the assigned territory.
    • Setting sales targets and goals for the territory.
    • Leading and guiding a team of sales representatives.
    • Monitoring and analyzing sales performance metrics.
    • Identifying growth opportunities within the territory.
    • Collaborating with other departments to support sales efforts.
    • Training and developing sales representatives.

Key Skills for Both Roles:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Goal-oriented mindset.
  • Understanding of the product or service being sold.
