Job Summary:
The Manager / Sr. Manager - IT Networking & Infrastructure, serving as the Site Lead, will be responsible for leading the strategic planning, design, implementation, and management of the organization's network and infrastructure systems at the site level. This role ensures the availability, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure, while aligning with global IT standards and supporting business objectives. The Site Lead will act as the primary point of contact for all site-specific IT infrastructure needs, oversee technology upgrades, manage cross-functional collaboration, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity and IT governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Act as the Site Lead for all IT infrastructure operations, ensuring alignment with both site-specific and organizational IT strategies.
- Collaborate with regional and global IT leadership to define infrastructure roadmaps and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Lead strategic infrastructure initiatives, including cloud adoption, software-defined networking (SDN), and automation.
Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of robust IT infrastructure, including network, servers, storage, and cloud platforms.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure optimal uptime and resilience.
- Manage data center operations, including equipment installation, virtualization, and hardware/software maintenance.
- Ensure infrastructure scalability to accommodate business growth and technology evolution.
- Implement and monitor disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Security & Compliance:
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce robust security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, SOC2, PCI-DSS etc.) and internal governance policies.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
Team & Vendor Management:
- Lead and mentor the site-level IT infrastructure team, fostering skill development and a performance-driven culture.
- Develop training programs to ensure team members stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.
- Ensure proactive monitoring and real-time alerts for critical infrastructure components.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, system architecture, and standard operating procedures.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Represent IT Infrastructure in site-level operational meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
- Act as the primary escalation point for all site-specific IT infrastructure issues.
- Foster effective communication between IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on emerging infrastructure technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Evaluate new tools, platforms, and technologies to drive efficiency and innovation.
- Lead periodic reviews and audits to ensure infrastructure alignment with industry standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with SD-WAN, network automation, and orchestration tools.
- Experience with ITIL processes and frameworks.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in capacity planning, cost optimization, and performance management.
