Invesco Real Estate is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quantitative Analyst to join our dynamic research team.
This role will be instrumental in analyzing global economies, forecasting real estate market trends, and supporting investment decisions through advanced quantitative techniques.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical foundation, deep expertise in data manipulation and statistical modeling, and a passion for real estate investment.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with team members to analyze global economies and forecast real estate market trends, contributing to internal and external presentations.
- Partner with the strategy team to support transaction, fund, and asset management specialists in developing high-quality research materials.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of Invesco Real Estate's forecasting systems, models, and House Views.
- Develop specialized knowledge in specific economies, markets, and real estate sectors, in consultation with regional heads.
- Research and maintain relationships with external data providers to ensure data quality and accuracy within the real estate database.
- Build and maintain a network of local market experts.
- Conduct special projects, including research for new investment opportunities, creating market reports, analyzing capital flows, transactions, and market pricing.
- Apply advanced statistical analysis methods (classification, time series analysis, regression, statistical inference, validation, machine learning techniques, etc.) to identify trends and relationships impacting real estate performance.
- Utilize spatial GIS analysis techniques to support real estate market evaluations and asset management decisions.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process automation.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on peer's work.
Qualifications :
- 3-5 years of experience in a real estate or investment management environment, preferably within real estate fund management.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- A Master's degree or PhD is preferred.
- Expert proficiency in Python and related data manipulation frameworks (e.g, Pandas, Tidyverse, Alteryx).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, charting, solver/what-if analysis, and statistical analysis functions.
- Proficiency in spatial GIS analysis and tools.
- Experience in data manipulation and ETL processes using tools like Power Query.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g, Power BI, Tableau, R Shiny).
- Proficiency in web scraping techniques is a valuable asset.
- Experience in market research is a plus.
- Strong numerical background and deep knowledge of applied statistics, econometric modeling, and machine learning techniques.
- R programming skills are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English
