Sr. Developer

Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Migration Specialist with expertise in Mulesoft and AWS cloud technologies to lead the migration of our integration solutions from Mulesoft to AWS.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing the migration strategy, ensuring minimal disruption to operations, and driving seamless transition from the existing

Mulesoft environment to AWS-native services. This role requires a deep understanding of both Mulesoft and AWS technologies, cloud architectures, and best practices for cloud migration.

Key Responsibilities:1.Migration Planning and Strategy:a.Analyze the existing Mulesoft environment and integrations to develop a detailed migration strategy to AWS.

b.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, operations, security) to align migration goals with business objectives.

c.Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges related to the migration process.

d.Design a phased migration approach to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity during the transition.

2.Implementation and Execution:a.Lead the technical migration process by transferring Mulesoft applications and services to AWS cloud infrastructure.b.Configure and deploy AWS-native integration services, such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and others, to replace Mulesoft components.c.Work with development teams to refactor or rebuild existing Mulesoft APIs and workflows on AWS.

d.Ensure the integration of systems across AWS and on-premises environments, maintaining data integrity and security during the migration.

3.Optimization and Performance Tuning:a.Implement best practices for performance optimization, cost management, and scalability on AWS.

b.Conduct load testing and performance tuning of AWS integrations post-migration.

c.Monitor and troubleshoot issues post-migration, ensuring solutions are effective and scalable.

4.Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:a.Create detailed documentation of the migration process, architecture decisions, and configurations.

b.Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of AWS-based integrations after migration.

5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Communication:

a.Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide progress updates and gather feedback.b.Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure that the migrated solutions meet company and regulatory standards.6. Post-Migration Support:a.Provide post-migration support, including resolving technical issues, monitoring the performance of migrated systems, and fine-tuning as necessary.

b.Evaluate the effectiveness of the migration, identifying areas for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

a.Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

.b.Proven experience in leading cloud migrations, particularly from Mulesoft to AWS.c.Strong knowledge of AWS services, such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EC2, and other integration and serverless solutions.

d.In-depth experience with Mulesoft, including API management, integrations, and workflows.

e.Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, etc.) are highly preferred.f.Experience with automation and DevOps tools, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CI/CD pipelines.

g.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.h.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:a.Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.

b.Familiarity with security and compliance best practices in the cloud.c.Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog) in AWS environments.d.Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
