Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Cloud Architect to drive the architecture, design, and implementation of cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure. This role requires deep expertise in cloud technologies, with a focus on Azure, to help shape the strategic direction of our cloud infrastructure and contribute to the successful execution of cloud transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture Design:
Design and implement cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Develop architecture blueprints, cloud infrastructure solutions, and provide technical leadership in project execution.
Cloud Strategy & Roadmap:
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define the cloud strategy, objectives, and roadmap for the organization. Identify opportunities to modernize existing infrastructure and applications by leveraging Azure services.
Cloud Security:
Ensure the implementation of security best practices across all cloud-based architectures. Define policies, procedures, and practices for managing secure cloud environments in compliance with industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
Performance Optimization:
Optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Lead the selection and design of Azure services that meet business requirements while maintaining high performance.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Lead technical discussions with teams to implement solutions and ensure alignment with the overall architecture strategy. Provide mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate with development, operations, and business teams.
Cost Management:
Implement strategies for cost optimization within Azure cloud environments. Monitor resource usage and optimize cloud infrastructure to minimize costs while maintaining performance and security.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices related to Azure and cloud computing. Share knowledge across teams to improve overall cloud competency.

Key Requirements:

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions.
- At least 3 years of experience specifically with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Azure services (e.g., Azure Compute, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Security).
- Experience with cloud migration strategies, hybrid cloud environments, and multi-cloud setups.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM Templates, or Azure Resource Manager.
- Expertise in cloud security best practices, identity management (Azure AD), and security compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, load balancing, and distributed systems in the cloud.
Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Additional certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., Azure DevOps, AWS Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on high-quality deliverables.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with serverless computing and Azure Functions.
Knowledge of automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python).
Experience with enterprise-level cloud solutions and large-scale migration projects.
Familiarity with governance frameworks and cost management tools in Azure.
